Aquilina Ramirez

My name is Aquilina Ramirez and I come from Porterville, CA. I thank God that CSF Surgery exists, because other medical organizations do not want to see people like me, who do not have medical insurance.

My clinic Family Health Care Network recommended CSF Surgery to me. From day one I felt very confident with CSF.

A Patient Advocate called me, Paty, whom I did not know yet, asking me for some exams that I did not yet have, she guided me in everything, she treated my case as if it were her case. Then the people from CSF referred me to the specialist who treated me. The doctor spoke my language and could explain everything to me and carefully followed my case.

After the doctor performed my surgery, he also called my family. At the hospital I was assigned a very caring nurse who made sure that at home I had everything to rest. Thanks to Lisbeth, my CSF Patient Advocate, who called me after my surgery to see how I was doing.

It’s sad, but many people don’t get care because they don’t have health insurance and the truth is, I didn’t know about CSF Surgery, I had only heard about it from an acquaintance who also had surgery there.

It started with stomach pains whenever I woke up in the mornings. I like to run, but every time I would start to run, I got the urgent feeling of already wanting to urinate, and that was constant. I tried going to the bathroom but nothing would come out. That’s when I noticed something strange that wasn’t normal at all, and I decided to look for a doctor.

When I arrived at CSF Surgery, I was very confused and after seeing the specialist and knowing that he was going to help me and was going to do his job, I felt very good. Dr. Perez gave me confidence and told me that everything was going to be fine. After the surgery he gave me all the instructions, what to do and what not to do, and as he was leaving, he told me that I would be fifteen-year-old again. I was very happy with him! He operated me at the Memorial Hospital, a very good hospital from the beginning until I left, it was excellent, the staff very friendly.

Dr. Perez, I thank God that you exist, you are a kind person, careful with your work and especially for speaking our language, may God continue to use you until God allows it. Thank you Doctor and CSF Surgery for existing.
